Educating staff to recognise social engineering attacks
The majority of malware gets into the system via social engineering, ie manipulation of staff to download infected files, click on links to insecure sites, or leak confidential information.
Cyboar will educate staff in how to recognise social engineering attacks and avoid falling into well-laid traps. The most common approach is the scam known as phishing where e-mails and web sites resembling perfectly legitimate people and companies are used to trick staff into releasing confidential information or downloading of malicious software such as ransomware which locks company data and an extortionate fee is demanded for its release.
Social engineering also extends to voice attacks where highly convincing callers on the phone can extract sensitive information from unsuspecting staff.
